Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote tool asks six questions: your gender, date of birth, how you would describe your health, whether you use tobacco, the amount of coverage you want, and the term length. Those six answers are all that is needed to see what carriers can quote. Your name, address, or health history are only requested if you choose to continue to an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They are the premiums each carrier quotes for the health tier you selected in the tool. The final premium is set by the carrier after your application goes through underwriting, which may confirm, improve, or change the tier. Nothing on this site is an offer of insurance or a guarantee of any particular price.
What happens when I click Apply?
You provide your name, and the application is created from your chosen quote and answers, then transfers to the carriers' secure platform. You can leave and return to finish at any time, and you sign everything electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), handles the application for you.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on the carrier, the coverage amount, and your health answers. Many carriers now offer accelerated underwriting for applicants within certain age and amount limits, which can produce a decision without an exam. Each quote on this site indicates whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that specific product.
Is a longer term better?
A term should match the years when losing your income would hurt your family most: years with a mortgage, dependent children at home, or a business loan. Longer terms cost more each month but lock in your rate for more years. The tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year terms side by side to see what works for your situation.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool does not collect your name, phone, or email, we do not sell or share any information about visitors, and our measurement uses no cookies or tracking identifiers. Read the privacy page for the full details of what is and is not collected.
